Nonlinear Stability Analysis of Distributed Self-Interleaving for Driving Signals in Multicellular Converters

Résumé

We analyze a self-interleaving circuitry for driving signals in multicellular converters, based on an interconnection graph with a ring topology that induces desirable fault-tolerant features. Using nonlinear hybrid dynamical tools, we show that the dynamics of this electronic solution can be formulated as an emulation based sampled-data feedback emulating a continuous-time fi rst-order Kuramoto model. For this Kuramoto model, under general conditions on the coupling functions, we provide a Lyapunov-based proof of local asymptotic stability of the splay-state (interleaved) confi guration. We then illustrate the relation with the emulation-based sampled-data scenario via simulation results.
