              <p>This paper explores how the notions of “translingualism” and “translingual imagination” (Kellman) can by applied to the understanding of Beckett’s bilingual work. To do so, the first part of the paper focuses on the interrelated issues of bilingualism and self-translation within his work and on the possible uses of the concept of “translingualism” to better define both their nature and their results. The focus is then shifted, in the second and third parts of the article, on Imagination morte imaginez and on the English version of this text, Imagination Dead Imagine.             <abstract xml:lang="fr">
              <p>Cet article explore comment les notions de « translinguisme » et d’« imagination translingue » (Keller) peuvent être appliquées à une lecture de l’œuvre bilingue de Beckett. Pour ce faire, la première partie de l’analyse se focalise sur les questions du bilinguisme et de l’autotraduction dans l’œuvre de l’écrivain et sur les usages possibles de la notion de « translinguisme » pour mieux saisis leur nature et leurs résultats. L’attention est ensuite portée, dans la deuxième et dans la troisième partie de cet article sur le cas d’Imagination morte imaginez et sur la version en anglais de ce texte, Imagination Dead Imagine. Le propos de cette partie de l’analyse est d’explorer une des représentations beckettiennes de l’imagination et de montrer, à travers une comparaison des différentes versions de ce texte, sa nature singulièrement translingue.</p>
