Bridging the gap: integrating deep brain stimulation imaging and clinical data in a unified data management system

Résumé

We present a novel data management system tailored for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) research. It addresses challenges in heterogeneous data collection and management during the patient journey and subsequent data analyses. The system integrates an Electronic Data Capture platform (REDCap), a relational database (SQLite), and a brain imaging file structure standard (BIDS), facilitating efficient data capture, storage, and analysis. The system demonstrates improved data quality, organization, analysis, and collaboration potential.
