Family Law Across Cultures (Comparative Family Law)

Résumé

This chapter use various database (notably The Women, Business, and the Law of the World Bank) to describe the provisos of family rights across diverse countries, including marriage laws linked to the age, number, and gender of the spouses, as well as those of conjugality (civil and economic rights as well as laws against domestic violence). Based on these analyses, the chapter presents a more inclusive typology of matrimonial rights, specified at the regional level.
