Component Structure and Robustness Analysis of the Air Transportation Network
Résumé
This study explores the robustness of the world air transportation network by analyzing its component structure. The robustness analysis assesses the impact of targeted attacks on key airports based on three centrality measures: strength, betweenness, and PageRank. Our findings reveal that removing airports with high betweenness centrality is the most effective strategy for disrupting the network, isolating regional components from the global network.
