6:1 Connected Slot Array in PCB Technology

Résumé

This work shows the design of a 6:1 connected slot array in PCB technology. A capacitive load is introduced over the radiating slots to enlarge the scanning range over the operating band. The stack-up of the array is presented and discussed for a PCB fabrication. The features of every element are illustrated from the top of the structure to the end of the feeding network. The antenna can operate in the band [3.2 - 19.5] GHz with a field of view of 60° in elevation along the E- and D-planes.
