Résumé
This article deals with how corpus planning must be considered as a tool for the revitalization of endangered languages. Coining new words is then a way of modernizing the lexicon, fixing lexical gaps and increasing domains of communication in the indigenous language. This article gives some examples from Iaai, a language of New Caledonia, and from the situation in Oceania.
