Les procédés d’autocopie de l’enfant apprenti scripteur
Résumé
This study looks at the spelling processes of 4-6 year old children in three word-
spelling situations: list, line and separate sheets. The results show a visual
proximity effect, which leads to the child copying their own work. In other
words, when the child can see what they have already written, they use it as a sort
of unit of measurement in order to write the next words. They copy series of
letters, changing as need be the position of these letters.
