Noise Analysis Applied to Electrochemical Systems
Résumé
Random fluctuations of the electrical quantities (electrode potential and cell current) in electrochemical systems commonly are referred to as electrochemical noise. The present work describes the main sources of noise, the experimental methods used for its measurement, and some of the schemes for its analysis, with particular emphasis to corrosion applications. Results of computer simulations are presented to illustrate the significance of some of the most common measurement methods.
