L’étude des colonnades de Taharqa à Karnak (2020-2022) : un premier bilan
Résumé
This article presents the first results of the study of the colonnades of King Taharqa at Karnak, supported by the CFEETK and the LabEx ARCHIMEDE, between 2020 and 2022, more particularly the eastern colonnade and the large kiosk of this pharaoh. Concerning the first monument, a preliminary survey was undertaken in 2022 to document the archaeological context of the eastern forecourt. The discovery of Middle and New Kingdom levels emphasizes the necessity to continue the research in this area. As for the second one, among the work undertaken to publish this kiosk erected in the first courtyard of the temple, the author led an epigraphic and archaeological survey in 2021 around the southern gate which was rebuilt during the Ptolemaic period. The excavation led to the discovery of many reused blocks that allow a first restitution of the original Kushite gate of the kiosk, and also, more surprisingly, another one belonging to the screen-walls of Taharqa.
