"When is There Art?" An Investigation into the New “Ways of Making” Worlds
This first issue of Visible brings together the responses of authors from a variety of backgrounds to the question "When is there art?" and brings visual semiotics into dialogue with the history and theories of art and philosophy, in particular. Three main thematic orientations have been chosen, revealing the main areas of reflection of the current period. The first concerns the relationship between art and artificial intelligence. The second deals with the sensitive dimension of art, in which Goodman took little interest, but which is so present and relevant in art today that it can be considered the sixth symptom. The sensitive would require, even in artification practices, the elaboration of a poetic thought that would bring about emancipation. The third concerns the relationship of art to non-human existings.
