Étude du langage spontané d'enfants sourds moyens et légers : vers un évitement de la complexité syntaxique ?
Résumé
Syntactic analysis was conducted on spontaneous language samples from children
with mild-to-moderate hearing loss aged 6 to 11. Syntactic complexity measures
show immaturity and differences in relative frequency of different types of
subordinate clauses from that found in normal-hearing children. We propose an
explanation related to mechanisms of avoiding complexity.
