Les critères de grammaticalisation pour les temps composés en français et en allemand
Résumé
This article examines two states of grammaticalization of compound verbal
forms: Phase and Tense. Criteria are proposed for determining whether a
particular form is to be considered as conveying Phase or Tense. These criteria
are then applied to French and German structures. Our results show that no
uniform criteria can be set up, and that the grammaticalization process depends
on the meaning of the components.
