Résumé

This paper contributes to recent work on the structural modalities of Open Innovation by addressing the "how to do it " necessary for a better understanding of this paradigm (Huizingh, 2010). It focuses on two different technological and economic contexts. Our article is situated in this perspective with the objective of comparing the implementation of inside-out and outside-in processes in the differentiated contexts of French and Chinese companies. In other words, our research question is "what are the strategic and structural issues for inside-out and outside-in practices via IPRs in differentiated contexts?
