Switch Fault Detection in a Family of Non-isolated Single-Inductor Three-Port Converters for Low Power Electrification Applications

Résumé

This paper presents a novel family of non-isolated single inductor three-port converters with built-in switch fault detection capability. Compared to conventional converters, these converters require minimal additional components while offering four control degrees of freedom. Through analysis and simulations, their effectiveness in meeting energy management requirements is demonstrated. The fault detection method relies on monitoring inductor current shape and switching command values, enabling timely fault identification. This integration of advanced energy management and fault detection makes these converters promising for power electronic applications.
