Représentations et discours des élites savantes sur les Turkmènes Qara Qoyunlu et Aq Qoyunlu : approche comparée d’une chronique d’al-Maqrīzī et d’une chronique de Ḥāfeẓ-e Abrū
Résumé
In honour of the late Michel Balivet (d.2020) who made the dialogue between Persian and Turkish culture an important part of his researches. I propose an attempt to understand the roots of Timurid and Mamluk’s historiography about the Turkmen confederations Qara Qoyunlu and Aq Qoyunlu (Black and White sheep confederations) during the beginning of 15th century. This study is based on a comparative analysis of knowledge about these confederations, vocabulary used to name and understand it and political discourses about legitimacy in Ḥâfez-e Abrû’s chronicle Zubdat al-tavârîkh and al-Maqrîzî’s chronicle Sulûk al-mulûk.
