Development of a long wave infrared photonic Doppler velocimeter

Résumé

Photonic Doppler Velocimetry (PDV) has become a gold standard technique in materials impact dynamic loading research offered by its high accuracy and resolution determining the shock wave speed under extreme conditions (shock, explosion, pressure, etc...). However, this is nowadays mostly restrained to surfaces velocities. On opposite, Radio-Frequency systems may enhance penetration specific materials, but at expense of lower spatial temporal resolutions. To reach adequate depth high-speed rate measurements, we propose an innovative long-wave (LWIR) infrared velocimeter architecture measure waves inside material, operating wavelength near 9.5 andmu
