Pensare la precarità alimentare in tempi di crisi. Prospettive e limiti d’intervento nel contesto contemporaneo
Résumé
This article introduces the thematic section on food insecurity. It particularly aims at defining the multiple contemporary meanings of poverty in food habits and practices as a heuristic tool to develop tailored social interventions. After explaining how social inequalities and poverties are key concepts to think sociologically about food insecurity, the article offers an overview of food insecurity interventions and policies within national and international contexts. It finally outlines the limits and perspectives of such interventions, which are fighting with complex crises that are increasingly cyclical and structural in nature.
