Responsive Narrativity in Gamified Situational Judgment Tests: A Dynamic System for Enhanced Soft Skills Development

Résumé

The growing recognition of soft skills’ importance in organisational contexts has prompted companies to leverage game-based solutions like gamified situational judgement tests. These tests merge the traditional situational judgement test with gamification, forecasting and training employee behaviour. This paper introduces a novel dynamic system for constructing unique and motivating gamified situational judgement tests for assessing and learning soft skills. This system employs adaptable and interactive narratives that respond to player choices, thereby providing individualised and engaging learning experiences. The dynamic, modular approach fosters immersive learning and facilitates soft skills development through context-appropriate, automated scenarios. This research contributes to the advancement of Gamified Situational Judgment Test, paving the way for more effective and immersive soft skills training methodologies.
