Critical Realism for Health Promotion Evaluation
Résumé
The realistic approach to health promotion programme evaluation has gained much popularity since its first development in the 1990s. Based on the principles of critical realism, this evaluation approach has many advantages for evaluating complex interventions in health promotion. Its deep anchoring in theories, its consideration of context and its ability to produce evidence that can be transferred, make it a valuable tool for both health promotion researchers and practitioners.
