              <p>In two corpus, originating from Catholic newspapers and from the weekly Valeurs actuelles, we studied the representation of migrants in letters to the editor centered on themes other than migration. We showed the oppositions of the representations of migrants in these corpus when it comes to (1) groups that present similarities with them, (2) groups that are opposed to their reception in France, (3) people who interact with them, (4) what they experience or what they benefit from, (5) what they do and (6) what should be done about their situation. We also show a great homogeneity of each of these corpus. The strong opposition of the representations of these two corpus can be explained by the conception that the writers have of the vulnerability associated with migrants: they are perceived as a vulnerable population in Catholic newspapers and, on the contrary, as a population that would be source of vulnerability for France or Europe, in Valeurs actuelles.</p>
            </abstract>
            <abstract xml:lang="fr">
              <p>Nous montrons des oppositions significatives entre les représentations des migrants dans ces deux corpus à plusieurs niveaux : (1) dans des analogies et des différences établies par les scripteurs entre les migrants et d’autres groupes humains, (2) dans des relations entre des migrants et d’autres groupes humains (ceux qui soutiennent ou ceux qui sont opposés à leur accueil), (3) dans ce que subissent ou de ce dont bénéficient les migrants dans leur parcours de migration ou lors de leur arrivée en France, (5) dans les activités des migrants qui sont présentées et (6) dans ce qu’il convient de faire en France pour face à leur situation actuelle. Nous montrons également que cette opposition très nette entre les deux corpus est associée à une très grande homogénéité de la représentation des migrants à l’intérieur de chacun d’eux : le plus souvent, les migrants sont perçus comme une population en danger dans les journaux catholiques et comme une population dangereuse dans Valeurs actuelles.</p>
