Emerging digital technologies to support circular manufacturing systems implementation: a literature review

Technologies digitales émergentes pour soutenir la mise en œuvre de systèmes de production circulaires : une revue de la littérature

Résumé

Several actors consider the circular economy as a solution in a particularly challenging environmental and geopolitical situation. Academics view the deployment of new technologies as a major lever for this transformation in order to overcome the many challenges associated with circularity in a manufacturing context. This presentation will propose a first analysis of the literature linking circular economy and emerging technologies from a multidisciplinary perspective. Particular attention will be paid to the ethical, environmental, social and economic pillars in this presentation. This exploratory research has highlighted several concerns that deserve further investigation. The next objective of this research project is to disseminate technical and experimental empirical evidence to show how developing technologies affect circular production processes.
