Résumé

This paper presents new results on ”non individualized” closed–loop for blood glucose regulation, for diabetic patients affected by Type-1 Diabetes Mellitus. The design theory comes from the H∞/μ robust control theory. Three kinds of control solutions are discussed: the H∞ full-order control solution, the μ-based control solution and the structured H∞ approach. The linear fractional transformation paradigm is used to tackle the inter- and intra-patient variability. The proposed control solutions are assessed on an patient cohort, using the UVA/Padova T1DM metabolic simulator (v3.2). This benchmark is accepted by the US Food and Drug Administration, as a substitute for pre-clinical testing.
