National Report at the request of the Public Policy and Management Institute (PPMI) for the DG EAC of the European Commission on "Assessment of the impact of the European copyright framework on digitally-supported education and training practices
Résumé
The purpose of the study ‘Assessment of the impact of the European copyright framework on digitally-supported education and training practices’ was to provide evidence on the specific impact of Directive 2001/29/EC on the harmonisation of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society (InfoSoc Directive) on educators, learners and educational institutions, as well as their practices and resources. The study focused in particular on the transposition of the exceptions and limitations relevant to education into national laws; the resulting national copyright regimes concerning digitally supported education; and remaining gaps, legal uncertainties or obstacles which may inhibit the development of digital education in Europe.
