Advanced time transfer comparison: GNSS versus fiber over a 3 km long baseline
Résumé
We report on the comparison of advanced time transfer methods over a 3 km long baseline in Paris, France, using satellite-based and fiber-based telecommunication technologies, in the context of a new generation of timing system to be built for neutrino detectors as Hyper-Kamiokande. We obtain time difference about nanosecond order, depending on the method and the hardware, which we believed to be a make very encouraging step for neutrino astronomy and multi-messenger astronomy.
