Olefin Hydrofunctionalization; Hydrofunctionalization of Olefins With P, S, and Se Heteroatoms

Résumé

Asymmetric hydrochalcogenylation of olefins, including hydrophosphination, hydrosulfenylation and hydroselenation, has emerged as a powerful approach for constructing chiral compounds in an enantioselective manner by generation of carbon−heteroatom bonds. The opportunity of harnessing atom-efficient transformations involving regio- and stereoselective processes has driven recent insights in metal-catalyzed hydroelementation reactions with the development of novel chiral ligands and catalysts that can effectively induce asymmetry in reactions. The objective of this review is to identify recent highlights that illustrate areas of growth in the field of asymmetric hydrochalcogenylation reactions catalyzed by metal complexes or organic compounds.
