Community Policing, "gender-based violence" and women's vigilantism. Ambiguities of women's participation to policing in a Malawian popular township
Abstract
This communication explores women's participation into government Community Policing scheme in Ndirande, a densely populated township of Blantyre, Malawi's economic capital. It raises questions about the specifics of women's contribution to policing and to the practice of "order making".
