Effect of Zinc Oxide Nanostructures on Electrochemical Behaviors
Résumé
Zinc oxide (ZnO) covers a wide scope of application through its important properties, such as photovoltaic cells [1], anti-UV coating [2], and electrode materials of capacitors [3]. Several studies have reported the effect of ZnO on the improvement of capacitive performance of supercapacitors [4-5]. However, the structural property of zinc oxide thin films is the main reason causing the change of its electrochemical property. In this work, we have studied the effect of ZnO nanowires size on positive synergistic effect. ZnO thin films with different nanowires size were synthetized by using electrochemical method. However, we managed to improve the electrochemical performance of ZnO thin films by creating a double scale of roughness. Microsheets and nanowires of ZnO thin films were studied by using electrochemical methods (cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy). Morphology of synthetized ZnO thin films was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Cyclic voltammetry has been carried out to study the effect of the structural property of ZnO on the system performance. The effect of surface roughness on the electrochemical property has been discussed. References (1) Pietruszka. R; Witkowski. B; Gieraltowska. S; Caban. P; Wachnicki. L; Zielony E; Gwozdz.
