Interplay of RNA 2′-O-methylations with viral replication
Résumé
Highlights • Viral RNA genomes are modified by epitranscriptomic marks, such as 2′-Omethylation. • 2′-O-methylations are self-markers hijacked by viruses to avoid immune sensing. • Modified viral RNA counteract restriction by interferon-stimulated genes. • New insights suggest that 2′-O-methylations also impair viral replication.
