Comparative study of two thermal storage systems using synthetic oil alone and rocks and oil as storage media

Résumé

Due to the variable and non-continuous nature of the sun energy during a day and all over the year, solar thermodynamics installations need an energy storage device that will ensure the continuity of the process of the installation during non-sunny periods. Several storage technologies are implemented and thermal storage has proven to be the best solution given its efficiency, simplicity, reduced cost and non-harmful effect on the environment compared to other storage technologies.
