Résumé

A new species of Neoterebra is described and compared to its congeners in both the W Atlantic and E Pacific; a revision of a number of taxa, based on type material and additional samples, is undertaken to clarify the status of a number of taxa in the synonymy of Neo-terebra dislocata (Caribbean) on the one hand ànd Neo-terebra petiveriana, Neoterebra hancocki and Neo-terebra glauca (W America) on the other hand. These include Terebra rudis, Terebra petitii, Terebra onslow-ensis and Terebra radula.
