Multipactor thresholds prediction for geometries subject to standing waves
Résumé
This paper aims to develop two criteria for the lowest and the highest (when exists) multipactor thresholds, that are independent of the amount of reflected power. Two geometries are analyzed herein: a coaxial transmission line of characteristic impedance 50 Ω, and a T-junction type component (called bridge hereafter) used in the IC antennas of WEST. The rest of the paper is organized as follows; first, the previous findings on the determination of the multipactor thresholds under standing wave regimes are discussed and then the geometries’ models, analyzed here, are presented. Later the methodology is explained, to finally detail the results.
