A case study into inhibition limits of Novec in Stoichiometric Propane-Air mixture

Résumé

Stoichiometric Propane/air flammability limit was studied at high energy depositions to get a baseline for novec inhibition capabilities. Later, novec concentration was varied from 6 % - 11 % and the flame strength was monitored with two pressure sensors. To understand the flame behavior, they were also recorded using a high speed camera. Flammability limits, defined using pressure value was found to be 9.3±0.4%
