Digital Textualities : Motile Writing

Résumé

The present chapter examines textual materiality in the digital field, through the study of multimodal digital literary creations, while further contributing to existing deliberations on the role of digital media and devices. Its aim is to shed light on the mutations involved in the text-process, which, through its successively renewed forms, sets in motion a weaving operation, leading to the intertwining of textual layers, materials and writing, criss- crossing to constitute its techno-polysemiotic nature. By breaking away from the formalist vision in order to better apprehend its internal dynamics, our objective is to study the notion of digital text from the standpoint of the internal movement generating it, and which tends to render it, thanks to the computer program behind it, a resolutely motile being.
