Bloch surface wave on a multicolor fiber
Résumé
We introduce a novel implementation of aminiaturized photonic platform on a multicore fiber tip, capable of tunable optical functions using Bloch surface waves (BSWs) .Being the surface modes of a one-dimensional photonic crystal (1DPhC PhC), BSWs can be seen as a weakly dissipated counterpart of surface plasmons. We first demonstrate the ability of BSWs to optically interconnect two cores of the multi-core fiber and then we also alsoshow atunable functionality using the polarization to control the direction direction of propagation of BSWs .
