Oil−Water Mixtures and Emulsions, Volume 2: Advanced Materials for Separation and Treatment
Résumé
Smart Materials for Environmental Recovery.Oil–water contamination is a global issue, with serious impacts on ecosystems and the environment. Materials with tunable wettability characteristics have emerged to separate oil–water mixtures and emulsions. This two-volume set (1407, 1408) presents fundamental principles and mechanistic views of oil–water separation processes and wetting theories. This volume highlights specific cutting-edge materials: metal−organic frameworks, hydrogels, dispersants, microorganisms, enzymes, and self-cleaning materials, to name a few. Chemical engineers, materials scientists, and environmental chemists in industry and academia will find this work especially helpful.
