Linear stability analysis on a laminar separation bubble subjected to freestream turbulence
Résumé
Boundary layer measurements using hotwire anemometry are employed to study the flow development of a laminar separation bubble (LSB) over the suction side of a NACA0015 aerofoil, at a chord based Reynolds number of 125000 fixed and at an angle of incidence of 2.3 degrees, in a open circuit wind tunnel subjected to a wide range of turbulence intensity (0.15% < Tu < 6.26%). A Local linear stability analysis (LST) is conducted on experimental boundary layer profiles in the fore position of the LSB.
