Towards More Optimization for Aircraft Energy Conversion Systems

Résumé

This paper introduces the new challenges associated to the design of future energy conversion, storage, ejection hybrid system. The technological aspects of all sources and loads, including power electronics converters, have to be taken into account up to system level. The methodology proposed by a joint consortium between industry and academia is based on design by optimization. It will be illustrated using past examples. The optimization models requirements and the associated tools will be briefly described.
