Abundances of Individual Stars in Fornax Globular Clusters

Résumé

The Fornax dSph galaxy is one of the two dwarf spheroidal satellites of ourGalaxy known to possess globular clusters. We present unprecedented precise metallicities and abundance ratios of key elements for three of the five globular clusters of the Fornax dSph galaxy based on VLT UVES high-resolution spectroscopy of individual red giant branch stars. The implications discussed are threefold : to state definitely on the distribution in abundances and ages among Fornax clusters to understand the relation of these clusters with the bulk of the Fornax field stars and to explore the possible analogies between Fornax clusters and their counterparts in our Galaxy.
