This work introduces a high-order unstructuredpath-conservative-based method to solve a novel sediment transportmodel in generalized shallow water equations. A high-order accuracyof the proposed method is obtained by using several new strategieswell-suited to sediment transport context. Some important propertiesof the method such as stability, well-balanced andpreserving-positivity have been proved. The performance of themethod is assessed on several test cases. The results obtained arecompared with other schemes, reference/exact solutions andexperimental data. The proposed unstructured path-conservative-basedmethod is suitable for parallel computations and allows forconsideration of a wide variety of nonconservative problemsavailable in the literature. This work extends and generalizesrecently proposed unstructured positive finite volume schemes.
