Radio Receivers based on Spin-Torque Diodes as Energy Detectors
Abstract
Radiofrequency receivers based on energy detection usually require bulky and costly antenna filters. A promising alternative comes from spin-torque diodes that inherently provide both rectifying and filtering effects. This work proposes a behavioral electrical model, extracted from measurement results, that considers both the non-linearity of the magnetic junction and its parasitic. This model has been used at system-level to design a frequency-shift keying receiver.
