Energetic based hysteresis model implementation in LTspice

Résumé

In order to predict magnetic quantities in the magnetic cores of electrical devices, scientists and engineers need hysteresis models sufficiently accurate. For power electronics purposes many temporal simulations are mandatory to test a great variety of topologies, and combinations of parameters (duty cycle, frequency, input/output voltages,.. .). Thus circuit type simulations are very often used for this purpose. Also, magnetic cores composed of ferrites which are one of the most used soft magnetic material in power electronics have a large hysteresis loop. To take into account the hysteresis phenomenon into these simulations, it is necessary to include a hysteresis model into a circuit type software. In this paper, it is shown ohw to implement the Energetic-Based hysteresis model into the LTspice software.
