Approximate Computing Techniques: From Component- to Application-Level

Résumé

Approximate Computing (AxC) is a promising technique for reducing area and power consumption as well as for improving performance of a computing system. However, AxC is still in its infancy since there is a lack of methodologies and automated tools for the entire design and manufacturing flow. The book will present different state-of-the-art AxC techniques, and how they integrate into the design flow. It also describes real AxC applications spanning from mobile to high- performance computing and safety-critical applications. This book can therefore serve an important reference for researchers, students and engineers interested in the field of Approximate Computing.
