Gain Through Loss Frequency Comb Generation in Fiber Oscillators
Résumé
We present a novel method to generate optical frequency combs in normal dispersion driven nonlinear resonators exploiting a filter induced modulation instability which enables selective waves amplification through losses. We demonstrate frequency comb generation in a fiber resonator with line spacing tuneability exceeding 100 GHz.
