33 nm wavelength tuning of a 1550 nm VCSEL in CW operation based on the liquid crystal micro-cells technology

Résumé

We present CW operation of a tunable InP based Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser, integrating a liquid crystal (LC) micro-cell. In comparison with previous work, a larger 33 nm (vs 23 nm) tuning and stable operation are obtained, according to major improvements presented in this paper.
