Obsidian characterization from structural properties and provenance studies. The case of the Monte Arci (Sardinia, Italia) obsidians
Résumé
Many more methods than even a few years ago are now in use or in an exploratory stage for provenance studies of obsidians found in archaeological sites. It is the aim of this short contribution to review these methods and in particular as regards to their present status in Neolithic provenance studies for Western Mediterranean, taking into account the multiplicity of obsidian sources in the Monte Arci volcanic massif of Sardinia.
