The selected three-layer unit-cell architecture, realizing an asymmetric linear polarizer, achieves wideband performance and good robustness to fabrication tolerances at submillimeter-wave frequencies. The design is realized and optimized using an ad-hoc tool. A peak gain of 32.9 dBi at 290 GHz is obtained, with an aperture efficiency of 44.5% and sidelobe levels less than -24 dB. %G English %L hal-03285035 %U https://hal.science/hal-03285035 %~ CEA %~ UNIV-NANTES %~ UNIV-RENNES1 %~ CNRS %~ INSA-RENNES %~ IETR %~ SUP_IETR %~ STATS-UR1 %~ CENTRALESUPELEC %~ DSV %~ DRT %~ UR1-HAL %~ UR1-MATH-STIC %~ UR1-UFR-ISTIC %~ IETR-BEAMS %~ IETR-ADH %~ CEA-DRF %~ LETI %~ TEST-UR-CSS %~ UNIV-RENNES %~ INSA-GROUPE %~ CEA-GRE %~ TEST-HALCNRS %~ UR1-MATH-NUM %~ IETR-SUMIT %~ NANTES-UNIVERSITE %~ UNIV-NANTES-AV2022
