Monitoring the evolution of the Kunhar River socioecosystem (Pakistan) on a timeline chart
Résumé
Social and biophysical components, processes, eco-systemic services and disservices, social and natural events may be monitored in timeseries on population, climate, biodiversity and so forth. Conceptual frameworks may then be used to analyze external drivers and practices that impact socio-ecosystems. In particular, complex Human-Nature may be summarized in a timeline to answer hot sustainability questions. For the Kunhar watershed/Balakot Tehsil, chosen as a case study, it appears that natural hazards, climate change and hydro-power plants are the key pressures that endanger the socio-ecosystem, including losses of culture and biodiversity.
