Crystal structure of Mn5(HPO4)2(PO4)2.4H2O
Phosphate hydrogénophosphate hydrate de manganèse
Résumé
Mn5(HPO4)2(PO4)2.4H2O, Mr = 728.6, monoclinic, C2/c, a = 17.587 (4), b = 9.127 (3), c
= 9.497 (5) Å, b = 96.68 (3)°, V = 1514 (1) Å3, Dm = 3.19(1), Dx = 3.19 Mg.m-3, Z = 4, Mo Ka, l
= 0.71069 Å, m = 4.47 mm-1, F(000) = 1420, T = 130 K, R = 0.023 for 1581 reflections. The
structure is isotypic with hureaulite. Apart from alkaline-earth metals which are often found in weak
concentrations in natural minerals, it appears that compounds of general formula:
(Mn1-xFex)5(HPO4)2(PO4)2.4H2O probably exist for all x in the range 0-1.
