This contribution documents the way migrant associations, that are for the most part urban, participate in the translation process, specific to the migrants. Firstly, it is the significance that these associations have for the individuals that choose to take part in the association or not that is taken into account. Then, through the intermediary of a presentation that shows the way these associations articulate the country of origin and country of refuge, it is the practical methods of production for a hybrid space that are analyzed. For the completion of this project, the authors brought together the information through semi-directive interviews of people active in the Portuguese, Albanian and Indian migrant associations.
